I know it has been a very long time since I updated. With my new busy schedule it is very hard to find time to do much of anything that I actually want to do. 3 classes (1 having a 3 hour lab so that is equal to the same as taking 4 classes) are more than my already busy life allows. I am managing though. Only 11 weeks left to go. So, here are my updates…

September 15th
I entered Carter into our local mall Starburst Pageant. He won best eyes out of a total of 5 boys and he tied with 2 other boys for 2nd runner up in preliminary. Preliminary is based on 50% facial features and 50% personality. The prize was a trophy for each category and he got his state finals entry paid for. That is not till April. He can win scholarships and grants which would be nice to put away for college. Here are a couple of pictures…

Happy Birthday Grammy!!!
Grammy turned 70 and we had a nice family party for her. There was lots of yummy food and great people to help celebrate. Carter got to play with his cousins. I don’t know who enjoys it more, Carter or his cousins. They are in love with Carter and get so excited when Carter is there. Daddy played football with Granpa Dennis. There was no swimming because it was just too cold for that. Carter did enjoy tossing all of Auntie Di’s pool toys in the water though.

September 16th
Shake Shake Shake

Carter and I made a nice breakfast together. We had pancakes (see him shakin up the pancake mix), Scrambled eggs (see him scramblin the eggs), toast and bacon. He walked around the house with the pancake mix shakin it up saying over and over again... 'Shake Shake Shake'. It was adorable. Now when he sees a pancake mix container he grabs it and says shake shake shake and proceeds trying to shake it up.

September 17th
Janice came up with Hunter so the boys could play. Carter’s Nani came to pick Bella up from my house so when I was saying bye to Nani in the drive way Janice tried to keep the boys in the side yard. Carter really wanted to head to the drive way. Janice was standing there keeping him contained when Carter pointed in the other direction to get Janice to look the other way. It worked. The second Janice turned her head, Carter had this huge grin on his face and put his body into the take off position. What he did not realize was I was on my way back over to him and I saw the whole thing. He immediately turned around and went back to playing in the yard. Is this a sign of what is to come? Where did he learn to do that?

September 22nd
Stage Fort Park

The family headed to Stage Fort Park for what I hope becomes a tradition. It is a park that is in Gloucester. There is a playground, beach, plenty of grass for Carter to run around. It was Nani, Papa, Courtney, Bella, Tiffiny, Chris, Kieley, Bayley, Janice, Hunter, Hayden, Craig, Carter and myself. We had a lot of yummy food. The kids got to blow bubbles, ride tricycles, play ball, climb rocks, fly kites and play in the sand and ocean. I hope you enjoy the pictures!

Mummm Mummmm
I may have mentioned before that Carter calls motorcycles Mummm mummms. I also have mentioned that Carter's cousin, Aunt and Uncle gave him a dirt bike. Well Craig got some new batteries for the dirt bike so Carter can ride it. Of course not by himself. Carter loves riding it. Everytime we open the garage he asks to ride it. Here are some pictures of him and Daddy on it.

September 24th
Craig came home from work and went in the fridge. Carter followed and kept asking for cheese. I was standing in the kitchen telling Craig not to give it to him because he will spit it out. I explained to Craig that Carter had been spitting out his food all day because he was not feeling well. (He has a cold). Craig gave it to him anyway and then went out to the garage to feed the dogs. I turn around and what is all over my kitchen floor? SPIT OUT CHEESE! I went to clean it up and as I was picking it up I asked Carter… Carter, why did you do that? Not expecting an answer from a “just turned 2” year old, I was very surprised at his answer. “Cause” CAUSE, can you believe he said that. I could not help but laugh. I know I should contain my laughter when I am correcting him but it seems like that is when laughter can not be contained. He is so funny it is impossible to hide my reaction.

Who's the 28-year-old Mom who was outsmarted by a two-year-old??? Oh right, that'd be me... I really thought he wanted me to look at something, not divert my attention. You're going to have your hands full with him! Imagine what he'll think of when he's even older! Had a blast in Gloucester, hope we're invited every year! :)
