Exactly 2 years ago I was on my way to the hospital about to become a Mom. Becoming a Mom was something I wanted to be for so long. I don’t know exactly where these past 2 years have gone. Time goes by too fast when you are a parent. Life passes you by in the blink of an eye. It is hard to find time to stop and smell the roses. One thing I make sure to do every day though is stop, sit back and just watch Carter. I love to watch him learn through everything he does, I love to watch him dance, and try to sing, and play. I love to watch him experience new things. I remember being in the hospital, holding him and being amazed that they were going to let me take home this fragile delicate baby without any supervision. Now he is a two year old toddler entering the stage of terrible twos. He is growing into this little man. He has a personality that is all his own. There is not a day that goes by I don’t thank God for this wonder. For allowing me to be Carter’s Mommy. For giving me the best gift anyone can receive.

On the way home from taking Sears pictures I made the mistake of giving Carter a cookies and cream milkshake. He kept taking the straw out and putting it back it. This served the purpose of flinging and spraying milkshake all over the back of the car.

Sadly, I actually found this to be cute and funny. I did not let him know that though.

Ahhh first loves
This is Mariah in these pictures with Carter. Mariah is 11 months older than Carter. Mariah LOVES Carter. She gets very excited to see him. She is such a cute little girl. When we asked her if Carter was her boyfriend, she said yes. So, does that mean this is Carter’s first girlfriend? Mariah’s Mommy (Tiffany) is best friends with Craig’s sister Alisha. I have had the pleasure of becoming pretty close with them when Alisha gave me the honor of being in her wedding. Tiffany, Alisha and I joke around about Carter and Mariah one day getting married. (We already plan on the wedding being on the beach. ) Aren’t they cute together?


First Date
Here they are eating together. We sat them together but when Carter started spilling his drink on the seat Mariah’s grandma moved her to the other side of the table. Carter was not happy about this and took quick action to move his plate and drink to the other side of the table. Then he got up and sat down right next to Mariah.



Carter enjoyed drinking soda from a can. (It is only gingerale. No caffeine.)


Granpa drove Carter around the yard in a car. Granpa and Carter raced with Mariah and Mariah’s Granpa. They had tons of fun.
