Carter is now 1. I can not believe how fast this day came. We had a very very busy day. We started out the day by getting ready for our 1 year pictures. We spent about 2 hours at Sears getting them done and deciding which ones to order. Carter then went to My Grammy's house so that we could set up for his party. We got home and found that there was more to do than I had thought. Thankfully Pat and Kathy came over to help. They did a wonderful job with all the decorations. Then, Janice, Tiffiny, Courtney and Matt all came and helped with setting up too. Craig then went and picked up the guest of honor along with all the balloons. Tip, latex balloons and fiber glass (from the truck cap) do not mix. :-)
Carter got his own teddy bear cake that I made him. The bear had a t-shirt and jeans on, made of frosting of course. He even wore a construction hat. Carter was pretty neat when eating the cake. He did not just dive in. Maybe he will on his second birthday or before then.

After the long day all of Carter's guests went home and Janice, Hunter, Carter and I opened all of Carter's gifts. He got mostly clothes which is a good thing because he had outgrown all the clothes we had and is now in 24 months - 3T. He got a few books and some toys that he was excited to play with. He was also excited for all that wrapping paper and the boxes.
Once all of the hard work was completed Janice and I had a nice foot soak to relax our very sore feet. Then after Janice left I stayed up until 2 in the morning cleaning up. Just as I was finishing up Carter woke up and wanted his Mommy. So, I took him downstairs and we camped out on the living room floor. Snuggling my little guy was the best way to end the day!
