September 18, 2006

My day started with a beautiful card from Craig and Carter. Carter scribbled me a card. I was so proud of him. Afterwards we headed to the Big E. Janice and I would like to make this a tradition for our boys. On the way up Craig stopped at a few different places trying to find me the cappuccino that I was craving. We never did get any. We met Janice, Shane and Hunter there. Craig and I started out in the cow/sheep building. There was this fridge that would open up and the food items inside the fridge sang. Carter did not like them. He fussed and grabbed onto me as if saying Mommy, protect me. He does not like talking food, maybe he thinks they have one up on him.

Janice, Shane and Hunter got there shortly after and we spent the day walking around to all the different exhibits. We even spent some time playing carnival games. We all played a game where you throw a ball and try to break a plate. We were not very successful. Not one of us could do it. My last throw I did break a plate and jumped up and down out of excitement but was quickly told I needed to break two plates for a prize. But, what I did get out of it was the pleasure of saying that I broke the plate, not Craig. hehehe. We played race games where we shot water at a target and the characters raced up to the top. That was fun. We were all too competitive to stop and spray each other.

Carter took a lot of steps for us while we sat in a grass area in front of the states. He walked to me and then wrapped his arms around me. The best feeling in the world is knowing and feeling how much your child loves you.

We got to watch some dogs herd sheep. That was pretty neat.

Afterwards we sat for some food and then the parade came by. We caught lots of beads. Janice got a medallion bead and when she saw another on the ground, she almost took out a lady to get to it. The other lady got it. But, she quickly saw another one and with a lot of excitement snatched it up, making us all laugh. She wanted me to have one too.

After that we all headed home. We had no plan to follow each other home but ended up behind them at a toll. Janice was very funny when she practically hung out the window getting her toll booth ticket. Craig was not positive on where to go so when Janice went the wrong way on the mass pike, he followed. We got off the next exit where Janice ran a red light and we followed. (We were in a turning left lane and had a left green arrow but Janice went straight.) We decided to take our chances and follow 202 home. Janice had to work hard to keep up with Craig's heavy foot. The two cops we passed did not even pull us over.

It was a great day! I would not have wanted to spend my Birthday any other way.

I'm not sure I like there being an unflattering record of my driving that day! ;o)

Oh, but it isn't. It is a record of how much fun we have together and how we can laugh about it. ;o)
