September 16, 2006

We spent the day at Stage Fort Park. It was a later start that originally planned but we had a wonderful time. We headed to Gloucester to celebrate my birthday. I was looking forward to a relaxing fun family day. The day turned out to be beautiful. We had four cars that contained the people I love. Pattie, Carter, Craig, Kieley and I rode in our car. Mom and Pappa rode with Grammy and Grampy. Janice and Shane had Hunter. Courtney rode with John and Margo.

It took a half hour less to get there than expected. We arrived, parked the cars, carried over all of our items for the day and then set everything up. Craig cooked chicken, burgers and hot dogs. We had my macoroni salad, Janice's macoroni salad, Pattie's taco salad, chips, Grammy's oatmeal/chocolate chip and peanut butter cookies. Oh, and I made confetti crisps.

After lunch, Pappa took a nap, I think Grampy snuck one in too. We took Carter to the park where Nani, Janice, Shane, Hunter, Courtney, John and Margo all played. We had so much fun. Carter went down the slide all by himself. He went on the see saw with us. Courtney and I tried to do the banana. It did not work out as well as when we were kids.

After the park we went to the beach. Carter hated the water. I even think he did not like to feel the sand. He kept putting his arms up at me because he wanted me to pick him up. Carter is now starting to show fear and his likes and dislikes. Eventually he warmed up to being in the sand and his legs were covered in it.

We ended the day by taking some nice pictures with Janice and Shane and Hunter.
