We headed to Charlemont MA yesterday to see a demolition derby. It was quite a hike and an hour and a half after leaving the house we arrived. We were expecting a fair... rides, carnival games, vendors... We got a playground, some shabby looking petting zoo animals, and a bungee trampoline jumping ride. Oh and some very delicious burgers. All in all we had a good time. Carter really loved the bungee jumping. I thought for sure once he got some height he would be a little frightened but he wasn't. He loved it. The ride owner even let Craig go in and pull Carter down to help get him some more bounce. (His weight prevented him from staying in motion.) We stayed for one round of demo derby. Storm clouds were quickly rolling in and it began to rain. Not to mention round 1 was the longest round of demo derby I have yet to see. Usually the cars die fairly quickly, these were like enegizer cars...They kept going and going and going. The crashes were significant too. We would have stayed longer but with the rain coming in and 2 more long rounds anticipated we decided to head out.

Our drive home from the demolition derby was a stormy one. We had thunder and lightning and some furious down pours. I went a little camera happy trying to capture the world as I saw it. Some pictures caught it while others didn't even come close. I was hoping to reflect the mood and beauty of what I saw.

On the way home from the demolition derby we took Carter bowling for the first time. We had a lot of fun watching Carter and there was plenty of down time when Carter's ball SLOWLY traveled down the lane. Carter got his shoes free since it was his first time bowling. We were sure to get a lot of pictures and video. One of the balls went all the way to the end, kissed the pin and then rolled back towards us. Never even knocking a pin down...

Sounds like fun! Glad you made it home in safe in the rain. It was coming down hard and definitely made for poor-no visibility at times!

I was driving home from Worcester during that storm. No rain in Worcester but you could see the dark weird formations of clouds as I was coming up 190. It was an amazing sight! As soon as I hit Leominster, it was torrential down pour!
