On August 9th we took Carter to Six Flags. I don't think Craig and I will be visiting Six Flags anytime soon, possibly ever again. It was very crowded and disorganized. Everytime Carter went up to see a character he was cut off by either teenagers or a large family. You will notice we did not get good pictures with the characters and the reason is we did not have any time to snap a good shot. When I asked the employee that was snapping pictures where the line was she could not understand what I was asking. We made it through the entrance, headed to Thomas the Train section, did the 3 rides there, rode the carousel and then found somewhere to eat. The lines were ridiculous and the set up was even more disorganized than the character meet and greet. The food was placed in an open counter and you walk by and grab what you want. There were french fries and other food on the counters and it was very messy. The set up of the area was very disorganized and only added to our frustration. After getting our food we could not find anywhere to sit and eat. We ended up sitting on a bench struggling to hold onto plates, cups with no lids and eat all at the same time. After eating Craig and I decided we were not even going to attempt to go further into the park. No more rides or exploring what there was to do. We chose to go ahead and change into our swimsuits. We found a wonderful baby room that was clean and quiet. Only guests with infants may visit and change diapers, feed their children, or rest. I was very impressed with that. We changed and headed over to the water park section. NO SEATS ANYWHERE. It was so packed. We struggled to find the toddler section and when we did we could only find a spot on the grass. We left our stuff there because the locker line was beyond worth waiting for and the locker we already paid for when we first entered the park was all the way back at the entrance. (a half hour walk away with a toddler) We had no choice but to carry all of our stuff from the entrance to the water park because you are not permitted to walk through the park with a bathing suit on so even if we did not mind being that far away from our belongings, we couldn't leave our stuff in the lockers anyway. Had we wanted a locker in the water park we probably would have had to pay all over again. We let Carter play for about a half hour and then decided to drive home. I think we spent more time driving to get there and home than we did actually in the park. What a disappointment. I am sure there are a lot of people that love six flags, unfortunately we are not one of them.
