Jess, Blair and Sam gave Carter his first Birthday gift today so I let him open it up when we got home. He was so excited to do so. After a year of going to birthday parties and me saying, it is so and so's birthday. Your birthday will come soon and then you can open your presents. He had been so patient. He spent the whole car ride home trying to stay awake. Reminding me along the way that he had a present to open. I took video of him opening it up. He LOVED it. A pirate ship... Carter LOVES pirate ships. He could not wait for me to open it up. The ship came with a cannon ball shooter. That is a lot of fun.
Jess, Blair and Sam also got New Baby Dionne his/her first gift. (we refer to him/her as Poppy Seed. Although he/she is bigger than a poppy seed now, the nickname has stuck.) It is the cutest little frog snuggly. It also has a built in rattle. I can't wait to set up the crib and bassinnette and everything else baby.
Thank you Blair, Jess and Sam. We love the gifts.
