Family Weekend!
Meme and Pepe invited us to join them for their family weekend again this year. It was such a great relaxing weekend. We drove up on Friday. We all went to dinner and had some yummy food. Afterwards the girls and Carter went to watch the Hampton Idol. It was juniors night. We sat and watched young people sing their hearts out. Carter enjoyed most. Others he would either block his ears or make the funniest face ever. Reminded me of some of Simon from American Idol. Meme even took Carter out to the beach for a short time. It did not take much for Carter to convince Meme to take him down to the water. Little did she know, Carter would jump in it. She brought him back so scared to tell me he was wet. I only asked if she was holding his hand... She said yes, the whole time. I said then that is fine. I am just so glad he was able to spend some nice quality time with her. After listening to the music we went back to the room. Meme got Carter a popsicle. Pepe and Meme picked up some sparklers for him. He got to play with those for a little while. Shortly there after everyone was exhausted and we turned in. Saturday we all headed to breakfast. Carter enjoyed it. Daddy let Carter eat some pancakes with syrup. I do not let Carter eat syrup. There is a reason. It became clear to everyone why. He was bouncing up and down and was so hyper. More than he already is. After breakfast it was time to head to the beach. Auntie Kayla, Uncle Scott and Daddy played in the sand with Carter. Everytime Uncle Scott would build something Carter would crush it. Uncle Scott tried to bury Carter's legs in the sand so that he had just a little time to build his vision of a cool castle but Carter was out pretty quick. Everyone wanted to head to the pool so we went back to the room and dressed Carter in his floaty suit. He looked very muscular. The first words out of his mouth was Carter boobs. He thought they were boobs. He is so silly. Then Daddy showed him how to show off his new found muscles. After the pool we enjoyed a nice lunch at the hotel with everyone. Nap time followed that and we all, Me, Carter, and Daddy slept for 2 hours. When we woke we all played some games, scattegories and balderdash. The kids got to play ants in the pants and dont break the ice with Pepe. It was a lot of fun. And... I beat Craig. I never beat Craig. (I just had to type it so I have a record of it. ;-) ) Time snuck up on us and before we knew it it was time to head back to the beach for the Seniors turn at singing. We did not stay for the whole thing but enjoyed the time we were there. Carter and Mariah danced around. They are so sweet together. We then went to the arcade to play games and ride a few rides. It was a great time. The next morning we head out to go home. It was such a great weekend. Thank you Meme and Pepe!
