Thanksgiving & Edaville

Not too much to write about... For the week of Thanksgiving our whole house had one icky cold that was accompanied by fevers. When I took Carter to the Dr. for his ears, she found 2 ear infections. At the same time we were told we had to stay home for Thanksgiving because we were highly contagious. I must say, not being with family on Thanksgiving stinks! Things to be thankful for though...

• Family that love us enough to let one of us go and pick up food and bring it home so we don't miss out on the yummy Thanksgiving food. (Thank you Grammy Dino and everyone that contributed to all the good food. Grandma Debbie, those peanut butter things are heaven!)
• Family that love us enough to make an extra dessert just for you so you don't miss out on ice box cake, even if when dropped off she runs from the infected. (Thank you Mom)
• The other family and friends that offered to bring something by.
• Family that is sad you can't make it just because they planned on torturing you and now can't... (Thanks Alisha ;-) )
• Our overall health.
• All of our Family and Friends that we have.
• Our baby on the way and the many other babies on the way.

Carter was better by Friday but I was sick through the weekend. Mainly I think because I could not take anything to make me feel better. Saturday night though I thought I was up to going to Edaville. I wanted to go before the weather got too cold to bear it. The first time we took Carter it was in the single digits. I did not want to do that again. So, we went to Edaville Saturday night. It was 38 when we got there, not too bad. no wind. We enjoyed ourselves even though we were a little chilly. We rode the train and looked at all the amazing lights. We let Carter go on some of the rides. We visited Santa in which he told Santa he wanted an engine with a plane. Santa said, how about a plane with an engine. Last time he visited Santa, a few weeks ago, he asked for a train. After Santa, we were cold and ready for the hour and a half drive home. By the time we got in the car it was 35 degrees out. Only dropped 3 degrees, those 3 degrees did make a difference. I am thankful that it was not so cold so we could enjoy Edaville. (I paid for it on Sunday though. I woke up sick and miserable and spent the whole day on the couch or in bed. Thankfully Monday morning I woke up much better.)
