Shortly after our power was restored it was taken from us again. A little before 6pm our power was lost. It was a glorious 3 hours that we all enjoyed. We fit in hot showers. I was very sad and disappointed and worried it would be days til it was restored again. Especially when we headed out to dinner towards the highway and every house from here to the highway was out. Even the ones that have had power all of this time. When returning from dinner we saw truck after truck and equipment that could make it into the snow where the main power lines run with the highway. This made us suspect something major had happened that cut everyone from having power. This could be a bad thing or a good thing. It was obvious crews would be working through the night to fix the problem... This could result in our power being restored. OR this could be something that requires a part that they don't have with them due to the already high demand this has put on their available supplies. It could be days... Craig woke me up a little before 12am in the middle of the night to tell me the power was back. We are now upstairs in our own bed but I must admit I am nervous. It does not look like the houses below us have restored power. This was the case earlier today when our power went on. If I look off in a distance I don't see as many lights as I normally would which makes me wonder if the roadway to the highway has power. I suppose we have to take what we can get and hope for the best. I hope all in our area are restored soon. The sooner everyone is restored the less likely we will have another outage. Keep your fingers crossed!
