Another update on Isabella Kalani as of 4:00 pm 3/28/2007
Courtney has chosen a full name. Isabella Kalani. Kalani is a hawaiian word that means from the Heavens.
All of the prayers are working. Please continue to keep Isabella Kalani in your prayers. The doctors are saying she is getting better. There is a chance she may not even need surgery. The doctors think the two small holes in her heart are going to heal themselves. The valves that were only at 25% the size they are suppose to be are now at 75%. (the valve issue would have taken 3 surgeries to correct but the dr.s think it will fix itself.) Isabella has been completely taken off the medication and her top part of her body is at 100% oxygen level and the bottom is at 92% which is up from 87-89% from last night. If she does need the surgery for the coartation of the aorta, it will not be till she is around a month to a month and a half old because she is doing so well. There are chances that it can heal itself too. The part that they thought was too thin is wider than they originally thought.
Isabella may be able to come home as early as next week. Thank you all for praying for Isabella. A pastor that was in the hospital asked my family if we believed in miracles and mom mentioned we had a lot of people praying for Isabella. Never underestimate the power of prayer and postitive thinking.
