Christmas 2006

Our Christmas started when Granpa Jack, Grandma Wendy, Konner, Auntie Helen, Uncle Jeff, Aunt Tiffy, Chris, Bayley, Kieley, and Auntie came to visit us on Saturday. I had so much fun with them. I got some pretty cool toys from them. Mommy was so busy though and tells me she forgot to get the camera out. :-(

My day was very busy on Christmas Eve. We woke and had some stuff to do to get ready for the busy day ahead. We went to Grammy and Granpa's house where we got to see all of Daddy's family. I got some fun toys from my family. I got to eat some good food and I learned a new silly face. I tried to imitate Mommy by squinting while I smile. Mom and Dad could not stop taking pictures and video of me doing it. They thought it was pretty adorable.

My favorite part about visiting Grammy and Granpa's is playing with my cousins. They love to follow me around and play.

I also got to sit and watch football with Daddy. Daddy's family LOVES football!

After Grammy and Granpa's house we went to Grammy and Grampy's house to celebrate our family Christmas and then had our annual Christmas eve party. I got to open some more fun toys. I loved exploring and running around Grammy and Grampy's house. I tried to take a nap but there was just too much excitement. Auntie Janice and Uncle Shane came with Hunter. There were so many other visitors. Family that I have not seen since last year. I amused them all when I kept running by stopping for a short conversation or a cute look. We were the last to leave and I was so tired. I slept a little on the way home but was excited to wake up so I could open one more present for the night. Christmas Pajamas! Mom says it was a tradition when she was growing up to get a new pair of pajamas for Christmas eve. It meant a lot to her growing up and wants to make sure to pass that tradition onto our family. Mommy and Daddy even get pajamas on Christmas eve.

After opening our PJs I got to put out cookies and milk for Santa. That was fun. We put out 1 for each of the people in our home. I tried to take one but Mommy said that they were for Santa and I needed to go to sleep.

Due to my cold I woke early on Christmas morning. I did not want to open presents, I just wanted to come into Mommy and Daddy's bed. So, when it was finally time to wake up I found my rudolph stocking in Mommy and Daddy's bed. It was filled with wooden dominos, bath toys and dinosaurs. We all played a little with my dinosaurs and then headed downstairs.

Mommy and Daddy were so excited to bring me downstairs and at first, I did not understand why. As soon as I looked in the living room I understood. There were presents in there just for me. I got a Step 2 Fire Truck to ride in and a BBQ Bistro Kitchen set. My eyes were lit with excitement. The first thing I had to do though was push the button on my present from last night. My Hallmark dancing snowman and penguins. It sings Rockin Around the Christmas Tree. I needed to make sure that I had some good tunes on while I opened my presents. I then quickly ran over to my fire truck and climbed right in.

After I was all done exploring my fire truck I played with my BBQ set. I especially like that I get to pretend to eat food.

After all the excitement I decided it was time to get the tree un-decorated so I could have more room for my toys. See me trying to take the lights off the tree. Daddy said I had to wait though.

Our family came by around 2 and brought more presents. I got a Police Car to ride around in. I love it. I also got a gears toy, a cars cd player, a pirate ship, some clothes, some magnetic letters, blocks, and an aqua doodle. I got many other toys too. I love playing with them all. They are keeping me very busy.

This Christmas was so much fun. I got to spend it with all the people I love and eat lots of good food. I was a little sad to be sick but it did not slow me down. I can't wait till next year!
