Edaville Rail Road 2006

When I was young my grandparents and parents took me to Edaville Rail Road in Carver MA. I remember the train ride and all the beautiful lights. I remember eating fried dough and being very cold. It was one of my favorite memories as a child and I wanted Carter to experience the magic of it.

After a 2 hour drive we finally arrived at our destination. We got out of the car and our faces were hit with 15 degree weather. I thought to myself, maybe this was a mistake. It is so cold, how can we enjoy ourselves in this bitter cold.

We quickly bundled Carter up in his stroller and into Edaville we went. We saw so many beautiful lights. We quickly jumped at the chance to get some cocoa and headed to the train. Carter absolutely loved it. He smiled the whole train ride and could not stop talking about it. He was pointing at all the animated lights.

After our train ride we went and saw Willy the Moose, got a pawtograph in the book Willy saves Christmas then sat on Santa's lap. Carter had a great time walking around inside looking at all the characters set up in their Christmas scenes.

We went on one more train ride, watched the fireworks and headed home. All cold and exhausted but felt it was our best family outing yet.
