Finally, a trip to the beach!
We headed to OOB on the 12th to get some beach time in. We left late and hit a lot of traffic but it was worth it. Saturday was absolutely beautiful out and it was perfect weather for the beach. Not too hot, not too cold. We played on the beach, visited the amusement park, ate some food and relaxed. I started Saturday morning by waking early and taking Carter for a walk to the rocks to look for sea creatures. We found tiny hermit crabs, snails and some swimming buggy things. Carter had a great time looking and I had a great time with a tradition I wanted to pass down to him. When I was little my grandparents would visit us in Hawaii and Grampy would take us out crab hunting late at night with flashlights. It is one of my favorite memories as a child. I may not take Carter out at night with flashlights just yet but hunting for sea creatures first thing in the morning is a start.

The below pic is one that Craig really liked because you can see the sun rays.

These are the first pictures we were able to get of Lanie's beautiful and infectious smiles.

After our sea creature hunt we went for breakfast and headed back to the beach to play.
Carter's first time on the bumper cars.

I love this picture because it captures Carter the way we see him all the time. He is just so full of joy and happiness.

Lanie's first carousel ride. She slept through the whole thing.

After the amusement park and dinner we headed back to the beach for more play time. Rocket launching, kite flying (the kite never made it up in the air) and sparklers.
Lanie on the beach.

I can't wait to go back.
