When will Lanie be here?

Last Wednesday after tracking contractions for the whole day I finally called the dr's office at 4:30. At that point my contractions were 10 minutes apart. The dr. on call told me to go to labor and delivery. I asked if I could wait an hour til someone could come stay with Carter but they suggested I go as soon as I could and did not think waiting an hour was such a good idea. After making some calls I reached Janice and Janice came to the rescue. Shane ran up to the house to stay with Carter and Janice arrived shortly after to drive me. She brought me up to L&D around 5:30ish. I was hooked up, monitored, fed some crackers and juice, checked and then told to walk. Janice stayed with me til Craig was able to get there about 7:45. Craig took over the walking from there. At 8 I was able to stop walking. I was then hooked back up and monitored and checked. I was having stronger, more painful contractions at 2-3 minutes apart lasting about a minute long but still not dialating. I was monitored for another hour to see if an hour of closer contractions would result in progress but it didn't. I was sent home where I would be more comfortable. By the next day, in the afternoon the contractions had no pattern and were few and far between. So, here I sit, waiting for something to happen.
